<p>Stacy Schiff (b. 1961) is an American author of acclaimed biographies and narrative histories. <i>Vera</i>, her biography of Mrs. Vladimir Nabokov, won the Pulitzer Prize in Biography in 2000, while her book <i>Saint-Exupéry</i> was a Pulitzer Prize finalist. Schiff has also published the books <i>A Great Improvisation</i>, <i>Cleopatra: A Life,</i> and <i>The Witches: Salem, 1692</i>. She lives in New York City.</p>
