Rosamunde Pilcher

<p>Best known for her lyrical, compelling, and wildly successful novel <i>The Shell Seekers</i>, British author Rosamunde Pilcher (b. 1924) has had a long and distinguished career as a novelist and short-story writer. Some of her other top titles include <i>September</i>, <Coming Home</i>, and <i>Winter Solstice</i>. She retired from writing in 2000 and lives in Scotland.</p>
