<p><b>Ron Chernow</b> (b. 1949) is an award-winning writer, journalist, and historian best known for his biography of Alexander Hamilton that inspired the hit Broadway musical, <i>Hamilton</i>. In 2011, he won the Pulitzer Prize in Biography for his book <i>Washington: A Life,</i> and he is also the recipient of the National Book Award for Nonfiction for <i>The House of Morgan,</i> on the banking dynasty.
