The Meroe Expedition: The University of Khartoum-Royal Ontario Museum Expedition to Meroe: Meroe Reports I

The earliest investigations at the ancient city of Meroe were carried out by John Garstang and the University of Liverpool from 1909 onwards. This report on more recent work by a joint Sudanese-Canadian project in 2000 and 2001, reflects greatly on the work of previous investigations at the site, especially those of Garstang, in providing assessments of their work as well as new observations.
