The DC3 airliner that crashed into 2,000 foot Mt. Torment in Quebec on September 9, 1949 was destined for Baie Comeau. On board were 19 passengers and a crew of four. One of the passengers, Rita Guay, was the wife of a Quebec City jeweler who had taken out a $10,000 life insurance policy on her two days before takeoff.
