European Drawings: Catalogue of the Collections

This fourth volume of the catalogue of the Getty's drawings collection reproduces and describes all the works acquired by the museum from 1995 to 1998, a time when particular emphasis was placed on strengthening the collections of French drawings.
Included in this volume are Edouard Manet's Bullfight (ca. 1864), a self-portrait by a young Edgar Degas, Nicolas Puossin's Path Leading into a Forest Clearing, and A Lady Walking in a Garden with a Child by her Side by Thomas Gainsborough. Also…
