The Boys is a comic book series written by Garth Ennis containing 72 issues split between 12 volumes. The series features a more "realistic" version of what the world would look like if superheroes existed. In this world, the superheroes are corrupted from their fame and fortune, and the flaws of each superhero are more clearly shown. The Seven are a group of superheroes (rivals of The Boys) which originally included Homelander, Black Noir, Queen Maeve, Mister Marathon, Translucent, Lamplighter, and The Deep. The graphic novel series inspired the popular television series with the same name, The Boys, which came out in 2019 and is currently renewed for a 4th season.
