Adapted from the Dragon Ball manga series written by Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Z was a long-running animated television series in both the United States and Japan. The series follows a sixteen-year-old boy-genius who has constructed a radar to detect the exact locations of the seven Dragon Balls. If all seven Dragon Balls are brought together, an incredibly powerful dragon god will grant one wish. Often considered the greatest anime series of all time, Dragon Ball Z has spawned feature films, collectible cards, video games, and action figures.
