Kate DiCamillo

<p>Kate DiCamillo is one of America's most revered storytellers for children. She is a former National Ambassador for Young People's Literature and a two–time Newbery Medalist for <em>The Tale of Despereaux</em> and <em>Flora & Ulysses</em>. DiCamillo's other famous books include <em>Ferris, Because of Winn–Dixie, The Tiger Rising</em> and <em>The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane</em>. Several of her books were adapted into films and musical performances. Born in Philadelphia, she grew up in Florida and now lives in Minneapolis.</p>
